Your On-Ground Technical Team in India

With 15+ years of experience in NPD, foundry development, and production quality oversight, QX Engineering Private Limited supports international buyers with reliable technical representation across India.

We work as an extension of your engineering and procurement team, helping you identify capable suppliers, control production quality, monitor development progress, and reduce sourcing risks from initial drawings to final dispatch.

Areas of Expertise

CASTING SPECIALISATION

We Specialise in Foundry Castings

QX is built around one manufacturing discipline: casting. We focus on ferrous foundry products matched to your drawing, material, standard and production requirement.

STANDARDS ARE PART OF THE SOURCING REQUIREMENT.

QX works with product requirements built around applicable international and customer-specific standards. Key standards and specifications include:

  • EN 124 / BS EN 124 — gully tops and manhole tops for vehicular and pedestrian areas.
  • EN 124-2 — cast-iron gully tops and manhole tops.
  • AS 3996 — Australian requirements for access covers and grates.
  • EN 1433 — drainage channels for vehicular and pedestrian areas.
  • BS 5834, BS 750 and EN 1253 — relevant UK requirements for surface boxes, underground chambers, fire hydrants and building gullies, where applicable.
  • EN-GJS / ISO 1083 / EN 1563 — ductile iron material requirements where specified.
  • EN-GJL / ISO 185 — grey cast iron requirements where specified.
  • Customer-specific standards — municipal authority, utility, project and purchaser specifications.

The applicable standard is determined by the product, destination market, project specification and contractual requirement.

Manhole & Access Covers

Manhole covers and frames, access covers and frames, utility access covers, and inspection chamber covers.

Drainage Castings

Gully tops and gratings, drainage channel gratings, linear drainage castings, kerb drainage components, and road drainage castings.

Infrastructure & Custom Components

THE THREE RULES OF EVIDENCE

▣

Photograph it

Every check has a time-stamped photograph with the lot or heat number in the frame.

☷

Record it on the day

Records are attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original and accurate. Never written from memory.

▦

Trace it

Heat, lot, pallet and container seal numbers link every piece back to its melt.

FROM DRAWING TO DISPATCH

One Technical Control System

Six linked stages keep the requirement, foundry, development, production, verification and shipment under technical control.

01–02

Requirement & Supplier Qualification

Drawing, specification, material, standard, load class, dimensions, testing and quantity; then foundry mapping, capability review, factory audit, process assessment and capacity assessment.

03

Casting Development

Pattern, core, gating, riser, simulation, trial casting and validation.

04–05

Production & Verification

Melt control, sand parameters, moulding, core-making, fettling, machining and process monitoring; then dimensions, material, metallurgy, load and functional testing, visual inspection and documentation.

06

Shipment Readiness

Quantity, identification, packing, container loading, traceability and shipment readiness.

02 — WHY QX

INDIA HAS THE FOUNDRIES.

QX FINDS THE RIGHT ONE FOR YOUR CASTING.

We do not simply search for a supplier that says, “Yes, we can manufacture it.” We evaluate whether the foundry has the technical capability to manufacture it repeatedly.

We assess the complete requirement: drawing, material grade and properties, process capability, tooling and core systems, metallurgical control, testing and documentation, production capacity, and shipment readiness.

DISTANCE CREATES BLIND SPOTS.

From outside India, it can be difficult to verify how a supplier melts metal, controls chemistry and sand parameters, maintains patterns, produces cores, controls gating and risering, handles delays and rejected castings, implements corrective actions, manages real capacity, or reports production status. QX operates on the ground and verifies the manufacturing reality behind the supplier presentation.

WE ARE NOT A SUPPLIER DIRECTORY.

A list of 100 foundries is not supplier intelligence. QX develops a product-specific view of capability, process, capacity, quality, risk and suitability. The objective is to identify suppliers that make technical sense for your requirement.

INDIA HAS THE FOUNDRIES.

QX FINDS THE RIGHT ONE FOR YOUR CASTING.

We do not simply search for a supplier that says:

“Yes, we can manufacture it.”

We evaluate whether the foundry has the actual technical capability to manufacture it repeatedly.

Drawing

What exactly is required?

Material

What grade, chemistry and mechanical properties are required?

Process

Can the foundry manufacture the geometry consistently?

Tooling

Can the pattern and core system produce the required casting?

Metallurgy

Can the foundry control the melt, treatment and final structure?

Testing

Can the required testing be performed and documented?

Production

Can the supplier deliver the required volume consistently?

Shipment

Can the finished castings be packed, identified and dispatched correctly?

LET’S WORK TOGETHER

Strengthen Your Supply Chain with On-Ground Engineering Support

Engineering Evaluation

We review drawings, specifications, material requirements, tolerances, and manufacturing feasibility to identify risks before production begins.

Supplier & Foundry Qualification

We assess foundry capability, infrastructure, process controls, quality systems, and production capacity to ensure the right supplier is selected.

Production & Quality Control

Our on-ground team monitors production progress, critical manufacturing stages, inspections, and corrective actions to minimize defects and delays.

Dispatch & Shipment Readiness

We verify final inspection, documentation, packing, quantity, traceability, and container loading before goods are approved for dispatch.
